Meanwhile, at the New York Press Association


The New York Press Association once again has named The Ithacan the best college newspaper in New York state — for the seventh time in the past eight years. The award was presented at the NYPA conference in Saratoga Springs on April 7. The award was for the 2006 calendar year: spring editor: Beth Quill ’06; fall editor: Vanessa Schneider ’07.
In addition to taking the competition's top honor, the paper won the following awards in its strongest showing to date:
